Questionable But Effective Short Term Diets, Are They Harmful In The Long Run
There had been a point in time when the essentials of dieting simply incorporated burn more calories than you consume. This always made sense, however it is been slightly complicated by the fact that if you deny your body certain nutrient elements, you can sometimes force it into weight loss.
For years it was the low-fat diet, the concept being if you denied your body access that that you would become skinnier. For many folks including me this never actually worked. The main result was that it cause the body to hang on to all that fat for dear life, as it knew you were not going to get anymore.
Then there's the low-carb diet, for example the Atkins diet or my favourite the anabolic diet. This sort of diet denied the body carbs forcing your body to use fat as its main source of power. This was very effective because it essentially caused your body to use its own subcutaneous fat as an energy source. I myself had good results with low-carb diets, however in the long run, at least for me they at last became ineffectual.
During the past I have always found that exercise was the key for me shedding pounds. By exercising, it is simple to form the situation where your body is burning more calories than it’s consuming. Unfortunately as the result of a vehicle accident I was not able to exercise the way In which I used to, leading to my body weight shooting up to 350 pounds. I required a miracle!
Because of a business relationship, I was familiarised with an extremely large number of folk, who appear to be losing weight. A number of these folks were dear mates of mine. They started insisting that I tried this new hCG diet. When I found out that you had to eat only 500 cal a day, I simply told them they have got to be out of their mind if they believed that I could do that.
For over a year I resisted this, but since my weight Shifting between 300 and 350 pounds no matter what I did, I eventually gave in. The way That I approach any diet is to totally study it in order That I know what I am doing, while I am doing it, and this diet was not that much different.
I started the diet with the traditional heat is much as you can on the first 2 days, and I am quite capable of eating a giant quantity of food. I then proceeded to follow the diet with textbook precision. I however didn't weigh myself or take any measurements because I didn't want to be disappointed in my progress.
Much to my constant surprise after 28 days I have lost 43 pounds. In my studies I have learned that you were intended to stop the diet after something similar to 34 pounds or 40 days, whichever came first. I have since done the diet three more times and have lost well over 100 pounds as a result.
I'm still sure but that a sensible diet and exercise is the best way to maintain your body weight. However , I have got to say that if you are in a situation like I was more your morale keeps going down due to the tremendous amount of weight you have to lose, then I must say the hCG diet is an excellent solution.
I continue to do not accept that in the long run not giving your body any natural nutrient, with the likely exception of sugar and excess starch, is a good idea in the longer term. But for short term dieting this may be better.
Ron Hartwell frequently writing under the aka “The Green Math Dr.” rates a wide selection of articles on places like Hubpages and has a variety of environmentally orientated blogs as well is a good deal of experience in the area of diets. He thinks that there's no such thing as an ideal diet, at least not one that's made for everybody. Latterly however the hCG diet has become one of his favorites.
